7 Days Panorama Rwanda Cultural Prestige Tour

Day 1: Kigali-Nyungwe Forest Trail
Today after your African breakfast, our guide will pick you and transfer you to Nyungwe Forest with stop-over at local markets along the way. Lunch en-route and after visit the traditional palace of Rwanda’s Former King in Nyanza. Drive past green fields of tea scattered across the hillsides and the small wooden houses characteristic of the surrounding forest. Dinner and overnight Nyungwe forest lodge or Gisakura guest house. Meal plan: Half-Board
Day 2: Chimp trekking-Butare Cultural Museum
Early morning breakfast, and after proceed to the park headquarters for briefing at 6:00am. Unlike other countries like Uganda where chimpanzee tracking activity starts at 8:00am, here in Nyungwe forest National Park the activity starts at 6:00am. You will enter into the forest when its dark but you will be able to see primate species such as Columbus monkeys, forest birds and later, you will be able to see the chimpanzees when its already day time. Lunch after visit a cultural museum in Butare. Then transfer to the hot springs in Bugarama. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board
Day 3: Lake Kivu-Kigali
Early morning have breakfast, after take a boat ride to different Islands on the lake and get to experience spectacular views of the surroundings and hills. Enjoy swimming in the bilharzias’-free fresh water of Lake Kivu. The background of the lake is beautified by Nyiragongo Volcano which recently erupted in 2002. Return to the lodge for lunch and after transfer back to Kigali city the capital of the country. As you arrive take the city tour to visit different places that were not covered on the day of your arrival. Dinner and overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel. Meal plan: Full-board
Day 4: Ruhengeri
Early in the morning transfer northwards to Ruhengeri. In the afternoon visit the surrounding communities. Visit local Dian Fossey projects. Dinner and overnight Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day 5: Community walks
A local traditional dance by the Batwa (Pygmies) will be arranged for you and you will spend whole your day being entertained by the Batwa and other cultural performances. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board
Day 6: Karisoke Gorilla Research Centre
After breakfast, visit Karisoke Gorilla Research Centre started by Dian Fossey, the famous primatologist. Later in the day transfer back to Kigali. In case you still have time, you can have a city tour - visit the Nyabugogo market, the Moslem quarter in Nyamirambo, the Franco-Rwanda cultural center and a genocide memorial Centre.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast you will transfer to the airport for your departure flight
